Extrusion Line Machine Supplies

We carried out alterations to the existing 11KV infrastructure to accommodate the installation of additional HV switchgear and transformers. HV ring main units and circuit breakers were extended from existing switchboards to supply new transformers with new HV sub-mains cables being installed throughout the factory on ladder rack containment. These transformers supplied LV cubicle switchboards which in-turn supplied the new textile machines. SWA cables were installed from the LV switchboards to wall mounted MCCB panel boards and distribution equipment to supply external chiller units, dry-air coolers, pump sets, winder panels and ovens. The factory was fully operational while this work was carried out and great care was taken to minimise any disruption to production. All HV break-ins were carried out during the annual two day shutdown period over the Christmas holiday break.
