Needle Punch Line

We carried out alterations to the existing 11KV private ring main network to allow the installation of a new 2MVA transformer to supply a Needle Punch Line. A 3000A LV switchboard was supplied from the new transformer which in turn supplied various sections of the machine. Multiple runs of single core cables were installed from the LV switchboard to machine main control panels due to the large current carrying capacity required. Single core and multi-core cables were installed from the main control panels to local isolators, motors, start-stop units and emergency stop equipment throughout the machine line on new ladder rack containment, suspended from the building steelwork.
