NOV Topdrive

We installed a new distribution system comprising two 1250KVA generators which supplied a 3000KVA step up transformer from 400V to 660V which in turn supplied a 660V main switchboard, VFD, SCR & MCC control panels. 600mm single core cables were installed on ladder rack containment from the generators to the transformers and the switchboard. Single core and multi-core SWA AC and DC supplies were installed from the switchboard and associated control panels to the Top Drive out-going field equipment, IP67 junction boxes and accessories.
Separate earth fields were installed for both generators and the transformer using copper earth rods, earth tapes and earth bars with surge protection devices installed at the local distribution board. Small power, lighting and emergency lighting was installed within the new control room and around the external Top Drive workspace.
